Socialstar was founded on a shared desire to help people connect, as well as the realisation that solid relationships at work are the foundation of a successful team. We are creating a corporation that embraces those values while instilling them in others.

We are a people-oriented company. Socialstar was formed in 2019 on the concept that by developing their own unique software, people may solve their own unique problems. Come assist us in shaping the future of work and software!

Matthew Spacie
Founder

Also Founder and CEO of Magic Bus since 1999. Previously, he was a co founder of cleartrip and COO of Cox and Kings. Matthew is an Ashoka Fellow, a TED Fellow and more recently an Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy (ACSEP) Fellow In 2007, he was awarded an MBE for services to children in the Commonwealth.

Simran Singh
Head, Business Development

Simran is a social development professional with 18+ years of experience across three regions India, Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia She was previously Director Social, at IDFC alternatives. She spent time at KPMG as the key lead for the Development Sector Practice and was with the United Nations for 9 years in India, Ghana and Cambodia.

Shivam Soni
Product Developer

Shivam is a seasoned product leader and developer who specialises in software for both consumers and commercial users. He has previously worked on products in the social sector, and is skilled at monitoring and measuring frontend performance, as well as troubleshooting and debugging to improve overall performance.

  • Senior Frontend Developer

    As a Senior Frontend Developer, you'll be working on a distributed team with diverse skills across the tech stack. We build features, enhancements, experiments, and deliver sustainable, quality software in an agile environment.

    What you'll help us achieve:

    >  Write, test, instrument, document, and maintain quality software.

    >  Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback for your team.

    >  Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other developers to build new features.

    >  Analyze how your features are performing in production to learn and make the product better.

    >  Support a highly available service.

    >  Have deep expertise in ReactJS & its internals.

    >  Have experience in profiling, Monitoring, and improving front-end performance.

  • What does a Junior Developer do at Socialstar?

    >  Experienced in building end-to-end ecommerce web applications and features using JavaScript and React.

    >  Willing to work in a team to ensure successful delivery.

    >  Learning and growth are key to our culture, so we will be looking for examples of where you have challenged yourself and learned a new tool, skill, or way of working.


    What we'd love to see in your work history:

    >  Experience in the following technologies: React, Modern Javascript, TypeScript, Sass, HTML5 and CSS3

    >  Proven experience in deploying React applications using pipelines from integration all the way to production

    >  An enthusiasm for hands-on labour, as well as a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done

    >  The capacity to survive in a fast-paced work environment with constantly changing difficulties

    >  The power to guide your own work.

    >  A strong interest in your trade, with a constant desire to learn more and develop oneself

    >  The capacity to wear several hats, identify methods to add value, and a willingness to do what is required

    >  Work closely with the Engineering Team to put your ideas into action.
